Welcome Note from Dr. Stelios Hadjichristofis

Dear Patient,

When people visit an orthopaedic surgeon, their first thought often is, "I don't want (or need) surgery." And they may be right. Surgical treatment is just one of the many options available. Many of my patients don't require surgery; they can be treated using other methods. If a problem can be resolved without surgery, that's the path we'll take.

I'll provide you with information about all available treatment options for your specific condition, outlining the advantages and disadvantages of each. There's a wealth of valuable information for various medical conditions, which can help answer many questions you might have or alleviate certain concerns.

The trust of my patients is of utmost importance to me. My primary approach is to keep you well-informed. It's my duty to help you understand the advice I provide.

When you come to see me as your orthopedic surgeon, surgery isn't your only choice. Sometimes, through rehabilitation and available prescriptions, your problem can be resolved. If surgery is necessary, I'll inform you why it's needed, what will happen during the surgical procedure, and what you can expect as a potential outcome after the surgery.

No orthopaedic surgeon practices without the support of a professional team and I am certainly no exception! Our team consists of highly educated and motivated professionals. During your visit you may meet many of them as they work to make your visit go smoothly, with minimal stress.
